+1 on Brave, been using it since its early days. No separate plugins needed. I forget it's even cutting the crap until I see someone else's screen without ads blocked.

Also ditto chromium as open-source Chrome alternative.

And, ditch Windows for any of the many better options among linux OS distributions. The comment in this article about not using the same browser a majority are using applies even more so to Windows as an OS. It's always been the least secure, most targeted and by far most often compromised OS.
