Capacity, perhaps. Connections - to what? For whom, when? Engine, not a chance. The 'engines' we build are all about monetizing the internet. Which will never "express the richly chaotic" anything. There are no other 'engines' of significance, because they won't return a profit in a profit-addicted culture.
