Blaming "the elites" or "the billionaires" or "capitalism" does zero to address the situation. Every one of us that lives an industrial world lifestyle, and everyone who doesn't yet but very badly wants to because they want to be like us, is fully part of the problem. 99% of us will not change our "lifestyle choices" in any way that will make a significant difference.

The narrative that's problematic is blaming someone other than ourselves for the mess we've made and continue to make.
