First off, thanks for this. A very valuable contribution to understanding human neurosystem diversity (HND - a proposed replacement for one up/one down terminology such as "neurotypical").
Second off, I'm curious if you're aware of HSP neurology (https://hsperson.com/ as a starting point) or have come across that in your research. A fair number of the symptoms you list relevant to autism are overlapping with symptoms that an HSP may experience. In particular the higher sensitivity to/lower tolerance for a variety of physical and/or emotional stimuli, and the social labeling that results. I'm an HSP, which I didn't know about until my late 30's. Finding that out really explained, and normalized, a lot of my past and ongoing experiences.
This also makes me curious to what degree autism and HSP neurology overlap or are otherwise related. For example, it's clear to me from an HSP perspective why I need an extra 5-10 minutes for dental anesthetic to be effective. But what is that about from an autism perspective? Is it also higher nervous system sensitivity, or, something else?
