Good summary of basic cultural differences between Sweden and USA. The maximum suffering a person should experience in the USA is much greater than in Sweden. Swedes, as a society, won't tolerate people having to live in tents under freeway bridges, or people being sick and not being able to get health care. In the USA we happily tolerate that. It's not that individuals don't care. But as a society housing for all and health care for all are not priorities in the USA.
