Having done some research the last few days, I have learned that basically Medium is, and always has been, about what the CEO wants it to be about. That hasn't changed from Williams to Stubblebine, as recent pieces here and in the larger world make clear with direct quotes from the new CEO. As with almost all other publishing corporations - just be sure to know what the boss wants, and do that, and ye shall be rewarded. If what the boss wants doesn't fit, better dust up the old resume (or dust off the least-dated clips, as the case may be) and start looking for other options.
