I have seldom read anything in climate change on Medium because from the title and subtitle I can usually tell right away it's non-sense of some kind. The few I've read are, as you say, mostly examples of denial, greenwash, ignorance, combinations of these, or related behaviors.

I would say that some of these writers are no doubt well-meaning - "sincere" - not all of them are merely trying to monetize writing about climate issues. And, it's crucial to understand that sincerity is irrelevant to consequences. Being "sincere" simply means that one truly believes whatever one truly believes. White supremacists are sincere. So are holocaust deniers. There is nothing inherently "nice" or "good" as a consequence of sincerity.
