I confess I agree. I'm at the "it ain't perfect but it's way better than the alternative" stage. I also was disappointed the same way, the absolute lack of far-advance planning by the Dems and the de-facto instant nominating of Harris. But because of that non-foresight, they have nobody any better prepared to put forward, and plenty less prepared, so now it's all about how well the Harris campaign can engage people who aren't fans but can at least live with that option given the alternatives.

As to progress on racism, classism, social & economic justice, etc. it still looks to me like a ground action long game situation regardless of who the POTUS is (your case in point being Obama, and I agree). Our oligarchy masquerading as democracy is the master's tools, and for me Audre Lorde said it all regarding the master's tools and the master's house.
