Another item to add to the list - at a conference, a party, anywhere there's standing-around conversations going on in a somewhat noisy location - it's hard to engage well with the conversation, because most of the talking is below our head level and our ears are up in the full-room noise cloud. Hunching gets uncomfortable real quick.
