It's a radical act in these times to grow and distribute food locally. The more locally the better. Thousands of small producers are a million times more resilient than a functional monopoly utterly dependent on fossil fuel.

This goes for all essential needs - water, food, shelter, community. The larger and more centralized the systems that provide these, the more vulnerable they are to all manner of disruptions.
