It's more than just hating to lose the election, in general. If he doesn't get to be POTUS again, he's got no Plan B "get out of jail free" card. There are multiple criminal prosecutions pending, and likely at least a few convictions, when he is no longer even a viable candidate, never mind not POTUS.
