This is simply adolescent human behavior. It is entirely too common among members of all political parties, classes, ethnicities, and any other contemporary human demographic one cares to mention.

In other words, these are the symptoms, not the disease. The disease is that there are almost no adults in the room, and the few there are have essentially no power and no voice. The world as we know it is ruled by adolescent males. Their biological age is irrelevant to their adolescent behavior.
