This is standard practice for reactionaries in the USA for decades now. Not just to do with Israel, but as a general tactic. The goal is to shut down any possibility of nuance and discernment, any conversations with depth and rigor and critical thinking. Any of that is a threat to the simplistic propaganda of populist demagogues.
