Well as I said in Adebayo's comments...both identity politics and neoliberal economics are parts of the mess. So I think you're both pointing to important aspects of the mess. And, Adebayo, I agree with AP that you have valuable commentary on economic messes that you could put forward, to good effect, and sometimes it gets lost or overshadowed by identity-focused elements.

And yes economics regardless of identity/ethnicity was I think a factor in POC voting for Trump. For some POC men, it was at least partly male ego, fear of a woman in power, that stuff. I read a few days ago about some exit polls indicating younger women voting by a 30% or greater margin for Harris, and younger men, a similar margin but for Trump. This I see as a reflection of our increasingly entrenched and entitled adolescent (regardless of biological age) male culture and its fear of women (of whatever color) with/in power.
