To me the "disbelievers" (as in your Quran citation) are those who disbelieve the wisdom of our living world, the wisdom of living systems, and insist they are somehow smarter than hundreds of millions of years of that living world being, and becoming, robust, resilient, and abundant.

And it's fascinating to be reminded how some of the Impressionists were drawn to re-presenting industrial intrusion into pre-industrial landscapes. I wonder if any of them had misgivings about the consequences of what they were seeing and painting?
