Yes, de-growth is an outcome. And will be an outcome, sooner or later - it's inevitable in any case. So one relevant question is, will we avoid changes that matter until there are no longer any other choices, or will we at least attempt changes that will make a difference? Unfortunately it does matter what we label those changes - "marketing" is everything, in a society built on marketing.
