You’re only touching the tip of an iceberg here…this is by no means confined to “Republicans” (whatever that means any more). It’s everywhere.

Our so-called civilization is run by adolescent males. We have a massive deficit of humility, wisdom, integrity, and respect in our culture. More and more our public discourse resembles a grade school playground at its worst.

This is a global phenomenon, not limited to the USA — though as we often do, we might claim “USA number one!!” on this.

Someone asks, how are we going to fix this? Thinking about that is a longer piece…just one quick example: what sane organization would hire someone to make mission-critical policy for its national and international operations with absolutely no minimum requirements for job qualifications (other than citizenship, and a minimum age in some cases)? And, make that hiring decision by a simple majority?
